ingredients:
- salmon 300-400g
Spice:
- Lemon 2-4 slices
- Ginger 15-20g
- scallions 1
- Salt 1 tsp
- Whisky 1tbsp (Alcohol makes the meat more tender, but can be omitted if desired)
Cut half of the ginger and scallions to slices and deck at the bottom of a plate
Put the salmon on the plate, and cover with the second half of the ginger and scallions slices
Sprinkle 1 tsp salt and 1 tablespoon whisky over the fish and cover with lemon
Boil water in a dip pan or a large pot
Put your plate with salmon in boiled water, waterfront should NOT over the plate with salmon(You can put some sticks between plate and pan to lift the plate over water)
Steam for 4 minutes with the lid on and remove from heat and rest for 2 minutes continue with lid on
Move the fish to another dish, no need for the sauce and all the spices that were with.
So it’s finished
Or you can garnish with small paprika dices
tips:
- The salmon I used is about 3-4 cm thick that steamed for 4 min. The time of steaming can varies from 3-5 minutes depending on the thickness of the fish
- I used salmon, but it also can use other types of fish
