ingredients:
- spareribs 400-500g
Spice
- Sweet’N sour sauce
- Whisky 1 tbsp (Alcohol makes the meat more tender, but can be omitted if desired)
- Soy sauce 2 tbsp
- Sukke 3 tbsp
- Balsamico 4 tbsp
- water 5 tbsp
- ginger 5-6 slices
Very simple and famous Sweet’N sour sauce. Remember 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
1 part of whisky, 2 parts of soy sauce, 3 parts of sugar, 4 parts of balsamic, 5 parts of water.
Put spareribs in boiling water and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, take out.
Fry ginger slices in oil to smell comes out, then fry with spareribs for about 3 min til it turns slightly brown
Now comes the delicious party, pour all Sweet’n sour sauce over the meat
Cook the sauce until it boils, and set the heat to low temperature and let it simmer with lid on for about 30 minutes, finally turn the heat up to the maximum to cook for about 1 minute to the sauce thickens. (Make sure sauce does not get burned) Decorate with scallions eventually.
tips:
- Same Sweet’N sour sauce can be used to boil also fish and tenderloin
- Make sure to buy the meat which contains little bit fat, it is good for flavor
- Plain white sugar is ok, but you can also use brown sugar or rock sugar
- Use large tablespoon
- If desired; adjust the ratio between sugar and balsamic
